Hanna and Stefan | Sebago Lake Wedding, Maine

Hanna and Stefan’s wedding took place at the beautiful Sebago Lake in Maine on the tail end of summer. Many people that live up north come here to prepare for fall and have one more celebration out on the boat before they put it away for the year. For Hanna and Stefan, it was a celebration of the end of summer and one of the biggest events in their life!

I arrived at the beginning of the day when hair and makeup prep was just about to begin! It is one of my favorite times to start photography because it helps everyone warm up to being photographed. Hanna and Stefan were getting ready only a few cabins away from each other, which was perfect to go back and forth. One thing that really fit the vibe was the reggae music playing, which felt so fitting for a Sebago Lake wedding in the summer.

Before the ceremony, Hanna and Stefan had organized to do a first look. I set the two of them up at the end of the dock on the edge of the beach, overlooking Sebago Lake. Stefan was at the end, and Hanna floated up behind him, lightly tapping him on the shoulder. Once he turned to face her, the happy tears started flowing from both of them, and it was magical!

Not too long after, it was time for the ceremony, which took place right on the beach, overlooking Sebago Lake, with a small group of guests. Everyone was in light, flowy attire, and just about everyone had sandals on (I wish I did too haha). The ceremony was filled with intimate poetry, nostalgic memories, and funny little jokes about love. It was a beautiful ceremony!

From there on, we spent the night taking group photos by the beach, eating delicious food, and listening to some amazing music. And when I say amazing, I mean it. Hanna and Stefan hired an angel of a vocalist that brought an acoustic guitar. Their Sebago Lake wedding was like a dream!
