Best Seasons to Elope
Spring is a beautiful time to elope as the warm weather moves in and the flowers and trees begin to bloom. Winter conditions in the mountains can last through June, so if you are looking to hike, I highly recommend keeping an eye on the weather, reading recent trail reviews, and packing layers and proper hiking gear!
Summer is one of the best times to elope because of its beautiful weather and endless activities. You can rent a boat, go for a swim, watch the sunset on the beach, or go for a hike while enjoying the longest days of the year. Summer in New England can be very hot, humid, and busy, so I recommend to plan your eopement during sunrise or sunset.
Fall is one of the most beautiful times to elope as the leaves begin to change and transform everything into a colorful painting. If you are looking to have an elopement by the ocean, beaches tend to be less crowded in the fall, which is perfect! Fall is one of the most popular times to visit New England because of the beautiful fall foliage. A lot of the popular leaf-peeping spots will be busy, so I recommend choosing a weekday if you can or eloping during sunrise or sunset.
Winter in New England is cold but so magical! You can snowshoe, ski, ice skate, or simply enjoy the winter wonderland on your elopement day. New England is very cold in the winter, so I highly recommend packing layers if your winter elopement will be outside. You can wear a thick shawl or faux fur jacket because both will look beautiful in photos and keep you warm.
