Arnold Arboretum Wedding Day | Chris & Louri

I had the honor of being Chris and Louri’s wedding photographer for the wedding at the Arnold Arboretum in the Summer! Chris and Louri had contacted me with the vision of getting married at an outdoor space with greenery in Boston. Immediately I had the Arnold Arboretum in mind as the perfect location for Chris and Louri’s wedding day.

Sunrise wedding Portraits in Boston

When Chris and Louri came to me with the vision for their wedding day, they were very interested in taking portraits around Seaport in Boston, MA at some point during the wedding day to add variety to their album. And as anyone knows, visiting Boston during a beautiful sunny day in the Summer is going to be very busy.

To help reduce potential crowds and also take advantage of some beautiful soft sunlight, we planned on having their portrait session take place during sunrise in the city.

We started the session over by the Boston Waterfront in Seaport. There are some accessible docks down by the ocean that are the perfect place to capture some beauty. This location is right outside the Institute of Contemporary Art. From there we walked over to the Fan Pier Walkway that looks out over the Fort Point Channel to the Financial District of Boston. I absolutely love this spot as you get an incredible city skyline as a backdrop.

Arnold Arboretum Wedding Ceremony

Chris and Louri’s wedding ceremony took place at the Arnold Arboretum and more specifically at the Leventritt Shrub & Vine Garden. This is located right next to the Dana Greenhouses in the park. This space provides a wide open patio with large concrete step ups. This provided an area for Chris and Louri to stand up on where their friends and family could all easily see them and listen to them share their vows.

Chris and Louri’s ceremony was filed with emotion and love. Their ceremony lasted about 15 minutes and included beautiful vow readings from each of them (They had us all in happy tears). After their ceremony we spent time taking a variety of family and friend photos over by the Tulip Trees on Meadow Road in the Park. And after that we enjoyed a stroll through the park together and captured another beautiful collection of wedding portraits.
